Bringing Colleagues to Their First Padel Night

How to get your team on court without anyone feeling out of their depth.

Inviting colleagues to a padel session is one of the easiest team activities to organise, provided you set it up properly.

Set Expectations Early

Tell people it is genuinely beginner-friendly, that racquets are provided and that nobody is watching. Most hesitation comes from imagining a level of scrutiny that does not exist.

Mix the Teams

Do not let the two sporty ones pair up and dominate. Rotate pairings every few games so everyone plays with everyone.

Keep Sessions Short

Ninety minutes is plenty for a first outing. People should leave wanting more, not limping.

Sort the Practicalities

Confirm kit, parking, start times and whether there is somewhere to change. Small logistics failures ruin otherwise good events.

Build in the Social Part

Book a table afterwards. The conversation after the session is where the team benefit actually lands.

Make It Recurring

One-off events are fun. A monthly slot builds the habit and the relationships. That is where the real value is.

If you would rather not organise it yourself, our sessions are built exactly for this.
