How to use a padel evening as a business relationship, done well.
Padel is a strong client invitation — if you set it up properly.
Set Expectations
Tell them the level, the format and that rackets are provided. Nobody enjoys being surprised into competition.
Choose the Right Client
Someone who plays sport, or has said they want to try padel. Do not push it on a reluctant guest.
Do Not Talk Business First
Ninety minutes of padel, then a drink. The order matters.
Let Them Look Good
Feed them the easy ball. Celebrate their winners. They will remember the evening as fun.
Introduce Them Around
The value of the night is the other twelve people in the room, not just you.
Follow Up Casually
A message about the match, not the contract. Business conversation follows relationship, never the other way round.
Invite Them Back
The second invitation is what turns a nice evening into a relationship.
